Website Maintenance and Support on the Costa Blanca
A WordPress website is never really finished. Plugins need updating, security gaps need closing, and one failed update can take your site offline on the day a customer goes looking for you. We look after all of that: updates, backups, security checks and a plain-English report every month, with a real person to call when something goes wrong. Plans start at 120€ a year, and each plan includes up to five hours of IT support a month.

WordPress maintenance plans
Two plans, both with daily update checks for WordPress and your plugins, a complete backup of your site, a monthly report of everything we did, removal of old themes that can give hackers a way in, and an in-depth security report as a PDF. Basic keeps a monthly backup. Pro backs up daily and adds a speed report and an analytics report covering traffic, sessions, pageviews and organic search. Full lists and prices are below.
IT support: up to 5 hours a month, included
Each plan includes up to five hours of IT support a month. If something breaks, an email stops working or you cannot work out how to do something on your site, you get help from someone who already knows it.
Training and development
Training is included with your maintenance plan. We train you or your team over Zoom: how WordPress works, how to write and publish a blog post and how to edit your pages. If you want to go further, intensive training is available and is charged by the hour.
Website security for a small business
Most hacked WordPress sites are broken into through an out-of-date plugin or an abandoned theme, not through anything clever. That is why the basics matter most: updates applied promptly, a recent backup you can restore, old themes and plugins removed, and a security report that someone actually reads every month. Both plans cover this.
Cleaning a site that has already been hacked is not part of the plans. It is a separate job, quoted and charged on its own. If a site is too badly damaged to save, we can rebuild it. See Web Design and Development.

Prices are per website, per year, and do not include IVA. Plans renew yearly. To cancel, tell us at least one month before the renewal date.
How we work
Review
If you already have a site, we look at it first. We check your plugins, the state of your updates, your security setup and your backups. Taking on an existing site is a separate offer, because we need to see what we are inheriting before we put a price on it.
Set up
We put backups, update checks and security basics in place.
Ongoing care
Updates are checked daily and backups run on your plan's schedule.
Report
Each month you get a written report of what we did and anything that needs your attention.

How much does website maintenance cost?
Our Basic plan is 120€ a year and our Pro plan is 200€ a year, per website, plus IVA. Basic includes daily update checks, monthly backups and a monthly report. Pro adds daily backups, a speed report and an analytics report. Both include up to five hours of IT support a month.
What is the difference between Basic and Pro?
Both check for updates daily, send a monthly report and include up to five hours of support a month. Pro backs up your whole site every day instead of every month, and adds a speed report and an analytics report.
Do I really need maintenance if my website is small?
Yes. Small sites are attacked as often as big ones, because most attacks are automated and look for out-of-date plugins. A small site is also quicker and cheaper to keep healthy than to repair after it breaks.
What happens if my website gets hacked?
Cleaning a hacked site is not part of the plans, so we quote it as a separate job. A recent backup makes it far quicker and cheaper, which is why Pro backs up daily. If the site cannot be saved, we can rebuild it.
Can you take over a website you did not build?
Yes, if it runs on WordPress. We make a separate offer for this, because we first need to check your plugins, the state of your updates, your security plugins and your backups.
Do you maintain websites that are not WordPress?
We do look after sites with an Astro front end that use WordPress as the content system behind it. For any other platform, it depends on the site, so get in touch and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
How does the contract work?
Plans run for a year and renew each year. To cancel, tell us at least one month before the renewal date. Prices do not include IVA.
