What is PHP PDF Print E-mail

One of the biggest problems with HTML is the inability to change dynamically. Once the HTML page has been created it cannot change. So, if you have a set of data (like a client list) that changes every day you would need to re-create the HTML page.

In the early days of the internet, several different technologies were used to overcome this limitation. SSI, CGI and the use of PERL and other scripting languages was one way to do it. The real breakthrough in dynamic website came when Rasmus Lerdorf invented PHP. He is a Danish-Greenlandic programmer who also worked on the development of the newer version of PHP together with several others.

The big advantage of PHP is the ability to embed it seamlessly into HTML code. The page is then first sent from the webserver to the PHP parser. It will interpret the PHP code and return the finished HTML to the webserver which sent the page to the browser. PHP code is also enclosed in special tags <?php   ?> . Between the tags is the programming code. PHP is a proper computer language with loop control, IF conditions and an object orientated approach. Right from the start, PHP was made to easily query a database to get search results and display them nicely on a web page.

PHP is probably the most used web programming language. Many added functions like PECL or ZEND have been added to make it even more versatile.
